At John Baikie Photography we treat every wedding as a unique occasion and try to capture the story of each day in an individual manner. John shoots a mixture of reportage and posed photography during the day, depending on your own requirements. Although we are better known for unusual, quirky images, that is only a very small part of the service we provide on the day. We capture every tear and every smile throughout the day as well. In fact 75-80% of the images shot on the day, are done in photo journalist / reportage style.This however, depends on how you want the day covered. Most of the day you will not know we are there, as we shoot in a very discreet manner capturing real moments and the genuine emotion of your day.
Our wedding photography is all about capturing the special moments of your day, in an unobtrusive way, and building up a special story of your big day. Many photographers claim to be ‘photojournalists’ or ‘reportage’ photographers, but very few are. In fact it is usually an excuse for poor work. We do both. We capture natural moments with an expert eye for detail, as well as having specialist skills in posing and lighting for those amazing album images which are pure art.
