Achnagairn House Wedding – Hayley & Barry
Achnagairn House, near Inverness was the first stop for the wedding of Hayley Crowder and Barry O’ Sullivan, who live in Dubai. I had travelled up from Newcastle for this one, stopping overnight at Kinross, and despite the hectic schedule I felt really fresh. It was a beautiful Autumn day, with sunshine and lovely colours, and I was delighted, because my last wedding at Achnagairn had been a washout. Hayley and Barry got ready at the house before heading off to the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Inverness. A lovely ceremony was followed by a drive out to Beauly Priory for some shots in the old building, before heading back to Achnagairn for the reception.

What was your favourite moment of the day? Coming back in the car with the roof off to see all of our friends and family waiting on the front lawn in the sun with champagne!
What advice would you give to other brides planning their wedding? Make sure communication is clear with all suppliers and venues before paying deposits. Once they have your money it’s difficult to walk away.
Was there anything you’d have done differently? I would throw my bouquet, I totally forgot to do it!!
