Eilean Donan Castle Wedding Photography
I’ve wanted to do a wedding at Eilean Donan Castle since I started wedding photography, and despite travelling the entire country and all over Europe for weddings, for one reason or another it’s never happened. So when Christina Trnka and Keith Palmer booked me for their wedding there at the end of July, I was delighted. The couple live in Hampshire, although Christina is Austrian and Keith is from Kilmarnock originally. Christina’s family were in traditional Austrian dress, and Keith’s in Highland dress, so it was great seeing the two different cultures together. So, I waited all these years for a wedding at Eilean Donan Castle…….and it rained. All day. However it did ease off just at the right time when we went outside for photographs which was a real stroke of luck! It was a great location and I enjoyed shooting there. Christina and Keith were really into it as well which was a huge help and always makes my job more fun!

What was your favourite moment of the day?
Too many but seeing Keith’s face when looking at me for the first time in traditional Austrian dress (I will NEVER wear one), was touching, taking the pictures was amazing too with the vibe and the quickness and having family around us was magic

Stayed in this area for longer as it’s great and 2 nights are not enough
