Rock The Frock Shoot – Gemma
My first ‘Rock The Frock’ shoot of the year was with my first bride of the year, Gemma Wainwright (formerly Hamilton). Rock The Frock shoots, sometimes badly named as Trash The Dress, are a post wedding shoot, which allows the bride to get THAT dress back on rather than store it in the loft forever more. I have changed the name from Trash The Dress to Rock The Frock as many people think the dress will get damaged or wrecked, which is never the case, unless you want that….. It is a fashion shoot in a wedding dress, but with less restrictions than on the wedding day and brides tend to be less ‘fussy’ about getting wet or dirty or going places they may not consider on the day. It isn’t just for newly married brides either, sometimes people have been married for a few years and just fancy trying it on again and having fun. You don’t have to have had me for your wedding photography either, in fact often it is people who for one reason or another, never had me there that book these. If you want more info look at the wedding gallery section on the website or email me at enquiries@captiv8.uk.com or call 0800 0699169 to book! Limited dates available in the year for these so book quick.
On to Gemma’s shoot, which was at a secret location…near Inverness. We had a great time. It was a crazy day because when the sun was out it was roasting and then every now and again we got a slight shower of hailstones. Only in Scotland! We shot in several locations and we were both delighted with the images. It ended with Gemma in the river, but only ankle deep as it was very cold and fast flowing, which could be dangerous as I found out once before (ask me for that story).
A few images from our shoot.
