Wedding Photography Caithness, Susie and Richard, Thrumster House

Susie Poulton and Richard Morris chose the fabulous Thrumster House near Wick, Caithness for their summer wedding. It was my first wedding there, but had been round the grounds looking at photo locations a couple of years previously, so I was looking forward to finally getting to work here. It was a fab day, with everything taking place under the one roof, so I arrived for the make up and preparations in the morning. It was a scorching July day, with blue skies all over when I arrived, although I did get my wish and it clouded over slightly in the afternoon, which helps with the photography! We had some vintage VW Beetles there to play with as well as the fabulous grounds, so it was a lot of fun. The humanist ceremony was fantastic as always and performed by the lovely Kate Buchanan. After speeches and dinner, we moved on to Mackays Hotel, Wick for the dance. It’s always nice to be back in Caithness shooting weddings, it is still home :) Hopefully loads more to come.
