Wedding Photography Muir of Ord – Gillian and Ryan

Another fantastic wedding day in brilliant sunshine. This was the wedding of Gillian Grant and Ryan Bell, from Muir of Ord. The couple got married at the Urray West Church, just outside the village. Gillian and the girls got ready at her parents house in Muir of Ord, which is where we started off. I then raced off to the church to catch some shots of Ryan who had arrived by helicopter, a well kept surprise for the wedding day. The bridesmaids then arrived in a VW Camper and the bride and her dad followed in a Morris Minor. After a lovely ceremony, during which I have to compliment the minister for being so accomodating for photography. I’ve had some bad experiences in the past but this year I’ve generally been quite lucky. It’s good to see ministers who think it’s the couples day and want them to have the special moments captured.

After the ceremony we drove back to Inverness and stopped along from Kessock at the shore to do some photography which was great fun. We then drove back to Loch Ness Country House Hotel for the rest of the family photos and the reception. It was a lovely day, and great seeing a lot of familiar faces after photographing Ryan’s cousin Julie recently as well.
