What a Week!
Well, I don’t know about you, but what an amazing week I have had! Following on from the awards last week, it just keeps getting better.
110 miles of cycling in the sun, over two afternoons, 700 miles of driving. My Kickstarter campaign reached it’s target, and continues to grow. I secured a few awesome new jobs, which has almost filled my 2018 diary to capacity already. My new column in the Caithness Courier has launched, and a lovely bit of coverage in today’s Inverness Courier. I’ve met a few great new friends, and everything is great right now. Oh and saw one of my all time favourite bands, and have a pass to photograph one of the people I said were on my ‘top 5 people I want to photograph’ bucket list. Oh, and got to photograph a beautiful model with an actual prop from a Batman movie. Good week huh?
The only negative was the reaction to me having an opinion on photos released from a certain wedding last week. However I am not going into that again. I have removed a few fakes from my life, and have used it as a positive! Out with the old, in with the new.
So, a crazy few days ahead for me. Four full on days of shooting. 2 weddings, an all day cycle event, a pre wedding shoot and a fashion shoot. Hope the sunshine continues!
I have gone very deep into many things in recent months. I have put everything into work, and my own life. Ups and downs, highs and lows. The one thing to remember is, positive thinkinng and hard work can make a huge difference. From being about 5 minutes away from not being here at all in August, to now feeling extremely positive about the future. My absolute stubbornness and mental strength has kept me going and things are really starting to pick up. I am sure there will be many more ups and downs to come, but for now I am enjoying this feelgood factor and I hope it inspires just one person to keep on going! It’s hard at times, but the harder you work, the luckier you get.
I just wanted to pass on the happy vibes.
Here’s a brief summary of my week in pictures.
