Pre Wedding Shoot at Ruthven Barracks

My second shoot of the day yesterday was at Ruthven Barracks near Kingussie. It’s a stunning location which was built in the 18th century and always catches the eye on it’s fantastic hilltop setting when you travel along the A9 from Inverness to Perth. The couple were Diane Knox and Craig Campbell from Inverness, who are getting married at the end of June this year.  It was a beautiful evening, although a bit windy up there, which was causing problems with hair (more for Diane than Craig), but we got some really nice images and had a great laugh along the way. I really enjoy pre wedding shoots as there isn’t the same pressure, and you can have more fun. Hopefully this comes through in the final images. After we left we were driving over an old bridge and the light was great so I hit the brakes and flagged them down for one last 2 minute shoot, which I am glad we did now. A great ending to a really great day in the sunshine!
