Ardross Castle Wedding Photography – Amy & Thomas
Last weekend I was back at Ardross Castle for a wedding. It has been a few years since I was there, so it was nice to be back there.
I would say, this is my favourite wedding venue in the area now, and I am surprised it isn’t busier, although I believe they don’t want to do many weddings. It is hard to describe unless you have been there, but it truly is one of the classiest and ornately decorated castles in the Highlands. It is clear that a lot of thought, as well as cash, has gone into creating the feeling of the entire place. It really is a photographers dream, and I could have easily spent several hours shooting images of the couple, and not run out of places. It was hard to keep it to a minimum to be honest. I look forward to more weddings here.
Enough about the Castle for now, and on to the wedding. Amy and Thomas chose a lovely humanist ceremony for their big day, which was lots of fun, with plenty laughter and emotion, with the biggest laugh saved for Thomas’s over eagerness for that first kiss. A fantastic moment.
It was a fairly wet day, but we were lucky enough to manage to get some outdoors shots, before resuming indoors, although in a location like this, weather is certainly not an issue.
A great evening followed, with music by the awesome Dark Horse band, who I seem to bump into regularly these days.
Congratulations to Amy and Thomas and thanks for having me there!
