Wedding Photography Loch Ness and Inverness

I photographed a great wedding at Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness on Easter weekend. Alyson Chisholm and Jim McLean, who live in Aberdeenshire, were married at Urquhart and Glenmoriston Church, Drumnadrochit. The couple met at agricultural college, so there were quite a few farming connections during the day, from a tractor at the church for the guys, to more tractors at cake cutting time. It was a worrying drive down to Drumnadrochit as the forecast wasn’t great and the sky was getting darker the furhter south I went. However come the time of the wedding the sun came out and we had an amazing afternoon. I shot Jim’s sister Isla’s wedding a few years ago, and she and her husband Arron were in my best known imageĀ  (the bride with spade/body in boot shot), so I enjoyed being back amongst friends. The reception was at The Lochardil Hotel, Inverness and back there we did the family shots before the reception. We had time in between to visit a loch (which had a difficult to pronounce gaelic name which I have forgotten) and got some nice images with a dramatic background.
