Whisky Photography – Old Pulteney Distillery

I recently did some work for Old Pulteney Distillery in Wick. I was particularly delighted doing this job for a number of reasons. Firstly, despite being on a no alcohol period just now, I do love a nice malt, and the OP is one of my favourites. I also love this type of work, as it is a nice change from shooting weddings, and lets me be creative to an extent.

I was shooting staff headshots, and felt despite the freezing temperatures, it would be better to do them in the warehouse area. Love this as a background for the images!

I also got to work with some of the new range of whiskies, photographing them in situ, again in the warehouse, as well as out and about.

Finishing off with a team photo of all the staff.

I have also been having a go at shooting the bottle properly in a studio setting, which I am happy with – very tricky thing to photograph properly!
