Engagement Photography Inverness – Fort George shoot

Donna Fleider and Andy Ross get married this summer, and chose Fort George for their pre wedding shoot. It was a cold day but we managed to get enough time in between rain showers to get some cool pictures around the Fort, before we headed off and did a few shots at a friends farm in the hay and I even found an old truck to use, so was in my element.

Pre Wedding Shoot Ardvreck Castle – Anna and Fraser

So it was second time lucky for this shoot, after the weather wrecked our plans the first time we planned it. Ardvreck Castle is a very cool ruined castle on the shore of Loch Assynt, up near Lochinver. Anna and Fraser were getting married later in the month so we were running out of dates for this shoot. The forecast was nice, but when I arrived up there it was absolutely baltic and there was a light shower of hailstones. This was not going to be a long shoot!

Phuket Engagement Photograhy Shoot – Debbie and Gary

When Debbie  Denoon and Gary Weir booked me for their 2012 wedding, it then turned out that Debbie was going to be a bridesmaid at Alisha and Scott’s wedding in Phuket so we decided to set aside some time to do their pre wedding shoot over there on the beach. So on the Friday afternoon we headed down to Kata Beach in the hope of a nice sunset, but it was a very overcast day so we never got lucky on that score. However we did have some fun and got some nice images. Looking forward to their wedding in June!

Engagement Photography Inverness, Shoot at Kinlochbervie

I travelled up to Kinlochbervie, on the West Coast for Louise Hay and Adrian McBain’s pre wedding shoot. The couple get married in September, and we shot at Oldshoremore Beach, which was where Adrian proposed. It was an absolute scorcher of a day, which, as everyone knows, is not ideal for me, but we had fun and got some nice images. It’s a beautiful beach, first time I’d been there.

Catriona & Rupert. Engagement Photography Inverness

I recently did some engagement or pre wedding photography with Catriona MacAffer and Ruper Anderson. I am doing their wedding photography in Inverness this weekend. We went to Rosemarkie and had some fun with their dog as well. It was a bit too sunny for my liking, but we got some great results.

Engagement Photography Highlands – Diane & Grant

Recent engagement or pre-wedding shoot with Diane Mackay and Grant Mackenzie, who’s wedding photography I am doing next month. We went to Dunnet Forest & Beach to shoot, and had an amazing time, despite the midges.

Engagement Photography and Video Scotland

Why not add a nice video to your engagement photography shoot? It is a new service, so ask for more details. I do a complimentary pre wedding shoot with all my couples, but how about adding this on as an extra? You get a nice DVD, and this could even be played at your wedding reception!

Engagement Photography Inverness

I offer complimentary engagement photography sessions, or pre-wedding shoots with most of my packages, and they act as a great trial run before the big day. It gives you a chance to get used to how it will be on the wedding day, and see how easy it is to be photographed by me.

Last week I travelled to Ruthven Barracks, near Kingussie, to photograph Alison Helm and Barry James, who have booked me for their wedding photography at Boath House, Near Nairn later this year. It was a horrible day as I was driving there, but we really hit it lucky and got a 30 minute pocket of bright sunshine, along with my favourite dark clouds!

Here are a few of the images from the shoot.

Engagement Photography Highlands

Today I had a pre wedding photography session with Lianne McKinlay and Garry MacLennan in the Spinningdale area. Lianne and Garry get married in July at Glenmorangie  House, Cadboll. We spent a couple of hours shooting in various locations in the area and had great fun. Really pleased with the results. It was a very bright afternoon, so the Quantum was really struggling to compete with the sun, but the results are very pleasing! They were joined by their dog Nelly for the shoot, and she joined in the fun too, especially when she discovered the water at the end. Really looking for ward to shooting with Lianne and garry again in July – if it is half as much fun as today it’ll be brilliant!

Kimberley & Graeme Pre wedding shoot, Loch Ness

Last night I did a pre wedding shoot at Lochend, Loch Ness with Kimberley De Koning and Graeme Watson, who are getting married at Achnagairn next month. This was to be the shortest pre wedding shoot ever, partly as a result of the masses of midges, and partly due to us deciding it was a good idea to do some pictures IN Loch Ness.  Sometimes you just have to push yourself a little further to get the right shot, and I am a great believer in ‘you get out of a shoot what you put into it’. So with that in mind, I joined the brave couple in the water, which actually wasn’t that cold (not sure Kimberley agrees). Between the venturing into the water, and some amazing weather and lighting, we got some great images without spending too much time there.

The down side to being adventurous, was that I didn’t have a spare pair of jeans to change into so had to borrow a pair of shorts from Graeme. Now shorts they may well be to Graeme, but Graeme is 6’4″ or something so they were sort of 3/4 length trousers on me, and I guess I looked like a clown. I almost wish I’d let them take the photo they threatened to!

Here’s a few shots – I definitely feel it was worth the effort! Thanks to Kimberley & Graeme for being brave!
