Wedding Photographer Inverness – Ruth & Derek, Loch Ness Country House Hotel

Another visit to one of my favourite, and one of the most popular local venues, Loch Ness Country House Hotel for this one. I had met Ruth and Derek several times prior to this, including a fun pre wedding shoot in Fortrose, so I felt like I knew them well before we started. Ruth was one of the most organised brides ever, which also helped with the preparations. The ladies were getting ready at the hotel, so that made life eaiser as everything was in one place. Another day working with the lovely Anna Sutherland who was doing make up for the ladies. There were some proper laughs at this stage, as the girls provided some pretty epic entertainment.

The ceremony was emotional, and funny, especially with the ‘hymn’ or song chosen, I Love You Baby,  by Frankie Valli, which had everyone singing and laughing in equal amounts. A great idea!

We then went to Lochend to do some photos with the bride and groom before heading back to the hotel, for family photos. The speeches were fantastic, especially Ruth’s dad, who had me laughing so hard I could hardly take photos of it.

After the first dance there was a spectacular fireworks display, and then it was time for home!
