Claire & Jason, Farr Beach wedding

Last week I had a really fun wedding to cover on Farr Beach, Bettyhill. Claire Laidlaw and Jason Ritchie travelled up to North West Sutherland to get married at this picturesque location after falling for it last year. The couple are in the middle of a long term travelling adventure which you can read about on their website moglet.co.uk They had a humanist ceremony, conducted by Kate, the local celebrant. There were just 6 of us on the beach, the happy couple, two witnesses, Kate and myself, so it was a lovely tranquil scene, and a pleasure to be part of it.

As usual I had a rant about the weather. Despite it snowing the day before, and sleet showers in the morning, once the afternoon came around the sun came out and it was a lovely day, although it was….TOO sunny!
