Drumtochty Castle Wedding Photography

I was back at Drumtochty castle recently for Emilie and Stuart’s wedding. The couple initially booked Ackergill Tower for their big day, but it has since closed to the public and all these unfortunate couples were just left to find a new venue.

This couple landed on their feet though, choosing somewhere a wee distance from Wick, but what a venue it is. I have done a fair few weddings here over the years, but it has been a while, so it was lovely to get back there.

A stunning venue, but also a stunning day. Warm, blue skies, and a joy to work in the sun, especially as we went back to deep winter a few weeks later!

A lovely humanist ceremony followed, which was full of emotion (especially Stuart) sorry Stuart.

The grounds of the Castle, and the wee lake at the bottom are always great for photography, so we had some fun down there. I always try to make it as relaxed and informal as possible, which you can see in the photos.

Back to the castle for the speeches, meal and the dancing. A fantastic day, with some fantastic people!
